The Romanian Society of Ultrasound in Medicine and Biology (SRUMB) is a well known Society, already 10 years old, part of the European federation of Societies for Ultrasound in Medicine and Biology (EFSUMB).
"Since the beginning, SRUMB decided to publish a journal of ultrasound (Romanian Journal of Ultrasound) having as main goal the continuous medical formation of those who perform ultrasound examinations on daily practice. Starting with 2008, we decided that the journal should be published in English (Medical Ultrasound), in order to be internationally accessible, not to mention that English language facilitates Romania's integration in the European Union" (Prof Ioan Sporea).
"We hope the jornal, under its new name, Medical Ultrasonography, will be well received by our readers and that it will benefit from a larger number of foreign contributors. Sharing the experience of an increasing number of teams of specialists will certainly lead to an increase in the quality of our published materials, our daily practice and it will also create the appropriate conditions for cooperation in scientific research activities".
